Although the Division of Financial Institutions acts as an independent state government agency, employment policies and procedures are determined by the West Virginia Division of Personnel. The Division of Personnel is the designated authority for determining basic conditions of employment for all classified and non-classified employees in the West Virginia Division of Financial Institutions. With the exception of appointed exempt employees, the majority of our employees are in classified service.

Employment is subject to the review and approval of the West Virginia Division of Personnel. If you are interested in being considered for employment in any of these classifications, you must contact the Division of Personnel at (304) 558-3950 to arrange to be certified as eligible for consideration.
